Hi all!
My name is Nat, I am girlfriend of Sam 64. I drove Explorer a lot time in Ukraine, Croatia and Germany.
And I fell in love with that XP!
I just bought Subaru Outback to have own 4x4 in Ukraine.
First 4x4 of me, but not the last, I am dreaming about Toyota FJ-Cruiser, sorry no chance to get Explorer in Ukraine.
XP is very rare animal here!
I hope you don't mind if I will write in English (but I can read German)?

One Question to your wish, owning a FJ Cruiser: Is it in the Ukraine allowed to have black Privacy-Glas in the car? If yes, have a look at this Page:

Volker Eckhoff is my best friend. He imports cars from the USA. But all FJ Cruiser in the USA have Privacy-Glass. I know from one Customer from Russia. My friend couldn`t sell a FJ Cruiser to him, because Privacy-Glass is not allowed in Russia.

Today Volker Eckhoff is on the way to the USA to get a FJ-Cruiser for a customer from Turkey.

But if you want an Explorer, he allways will get one for you, too. Also a used one, if want.

in Ukraine it's no problem to use black privacy glas.
But there is problems with customs clearance: because of strong lobby of car importers and producers (assembling plants) it's extremely expencive to import any car older than 5 year, more over with big ingine. I was calculating XP 5,0 limited edition from Istanbul. Purchasing price was about USD 11 000, customs duties were about USD 34 000!!!! So landed cost was USD 45 000!!! And it's not a joke!
They pretended to protect country from old cars!
So, it's much easier to buy used car here in Ukraine
